The treatment works on the principle that the feet are a map of the body with 'reflex' points corresponding to all the major organs, glands and structures. Special massage techniques are applied to the reflexes to help to correct imbalances and facilitate the body's own natural healing abilities.
Reflexology is suitable for all ages and can be used to help a specific condition or to maintain general good health and wellbeing. It is an excellent way to combat stress which is now widely acknowledged to be one of the largest contributors to disease.

Reiki
Treatments are performed with the client fully clothed, energy is channelled through the therapists hands which are placed gently on or just above the clients body. This energy then clears and heals the energy pathways of the body allowing life force to flow in a natural and healing way. Put simply, the treatment activates the body's natural ability to heal itself, leaving you with a sense of calm and balance.

Dermalogica facials
The full range of Dermalogica professional products are used in all facials to ensure a relaxing, thorough and highly effective treatment. A detailed skin consultation precedes each treatment
to ensure maximum benefits for your skin. All skin types can be treated; oily, acneic, sensitive, dry, dehydrated, combination and normal.
Dermalogica Prescriptive Facial £35

A facial using products tailored to your skins needs. A deep cleanse is followed by exfoliation, the skin is then gently warmed under steam to allow easy removal of any built up congestion. A relaxing face, neck and shoulder massage using aromatherapy products is followed by a revitalising mask and moisturiser. Whilst the mask is taking effect also enjoy the choice of hand and arm, scalp or foot massage, or a taster of Reiki or Reflexology.

Chinese Foot Massage

A great pick-me-up for tired feet and tired minds. This treatment includes a warm foot soak followed by a massage of the lower legs, ankles and feet. Chinese medicine sees reflex points on the feet affecting specific organs in the body, as with Reflexology. During the treatment some of these reflex points are massaged to promote relaxation, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalised.

A little about Tracey
I received my first Reiki attunement in 1997 and this ignited my interest in holistic therapies. Since then I have undertaken various courses including my Reiki and Seichem Masters, a year long course at The Yorkshire College of Beauty and a year long course in Clinical Reflexology. I continue to enhance and update my skills on an ongoing basis.
I became a self-employed therapist in 2002 after previously working in the banking industry for 14 years. My career in the banking industry equipped me with a high customer service ethos and this, together with my love of holistic therapies, is reflected in the high quality of my treatments.
I aim to provide a calm, peaceful and friendly environment and very relaxing and attentive treatments enabling you to really unwind and fully benefit mind, body and spirit.
Staithes
Staithes offers shops, an art gallery, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and a museum (Staithes has links with Captain James Cook) and a reflexologist, holistic and beauty therapist for anyone requiring some additional relaxation. There are also small fishing boats in the harbour, some of which can be hired for line fishing trips. Staithes is a favourite location for artists, often seen sketching and painting around the village. It is also a favoured spot for surfers enjoying the waves outside the harbour. For those who like walking Staithes is on the route of the Cleveland Way which is directly accessible from the village. This provides lovely coastal walking, alternatively you can go inland to the North Yorkshire Moors and the beautiful Esk Valley. This is the home of the Steam Preservation Railway (some of the scenes from the Harry Potter movies were shot here). This area is also known as 'Heartbeat Country' because the popular television series 'Heartbeat' was filmed here.
Staithes is also an excellent base from which to tour the rest of the Yorkshire coastline. Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Robin Hood's Bay are all lovely coastal villages nearby and Whitby is only a 20 minute drive away.
